Wonder Woman leads Wave 4 of DC Universe Classics. She is an entirely new female sculpt- larger in frame than the earlier DCSH/DCUC women. Her likeness is captured very well with awesome face paint applications as well as the use of flat but contrasting colors for the body. The figure lends itself well to action poses, largely because of the new female hidden hip joint under the briefs as well as the ab joint, whose restriction at the back one is likely to break, giving the figure the ability to bend more. A restriction in articulation, as to be expected, exists in the neck joint. The figure is designed as a ball joint but the tiny hole makes it act as a peg joint, allowing only sideways movement.

The figure has a great array of weapons, an axe, a shield and a rolled-up lasso. The shield makes use of a clip to attach to one of her arms. The axe though fits rather loosely in-hand. As for the lasso, it tends to be removable but bear in mind that it’s glued in and some figures may hold onto their lassos more tightly than others. One other issue is that her arms are a bit shorter, not much noticeable when posed with her arms to the side. However when you bring her arms up, or attempt to do poses such as crossing bracelets, they might just look a little bit off. Interestingly Wonder Woman’s foot peg holes are slightly looser than other figures. Thus a standard DCUC stand might have trouble holding her in certain positions. Overall, however this is one amazing figure.

It should be noted that she was originally designed to have another accessory- a spear. However, it was not included in the final version.
